Adobe Firefly Custom Models: Training AI on My Photography Archive
I trained a custom model on my studio portraits, then generated new images of students.
I’ve struggled with Adobe Firefly’s base model—it doesn’t match my style. Custom models change that. I style trained one on 20 years of studio portraits from my photography archive.
As and Adobe GenAI VIP I have early access to Firefly Custom Models. I used about 30 images from various studio shoots with talent ranging in years, ethnicities and style.
I’ve created firefly models using both just student photographs as well as a mix of student and professionals and I do like the results from the greater mix of people. Interesting.
The images here are all just “out of generation” meaning I haven’t retouched them or any other post. It was fun to play with what words appear on the tee shirts. The process here is different than when I use Midjourney to generate talent as I did in this post. I’m looking forward to everything integrating.
